Party Bus: Update
The schedule for bus departures is set. It will be leaving from the Mayfair Mall (the Bay side of the parking lot, closest to the corner of Finlayson and Blanshard) on Friday the 3rd at 2:50 pm sharp. It will be leaving Merridale around 11pm (sadly, because the venue is outdoors, local bylaws won't let us stick around much longer than that).
Just a friendly reminder to please book a seat on the bus if you're interested, as it will likely fill up. You can do that by emailing us at jenandtrevor@gmail.com. If you've already emailed, you're booked.
Along the same lines, since it's a holiday weekend, we expect things on the Malahat/Highway 1 to be pretty busy that afternoon. Even though it's about a 40 minute drive from Victoria with no traffic, please give yourselves plenty of extra time to get there.

Looking forward to it. See you all soon.

Laurel Point Inn
For those of you who would like to stay in Victoria, Jen has been working hard to find you the best accommodation possible. The Laurel Point Inn is a beautiful spot on the inner harbour, close to downtown, but still very peaceful.
They've offered our guests a discounted rate of $154/night for a traditional Laurel Wing room, or $209 for an upgrade to a Studio Suite. They have asked that all bookings be made by July 30 to take advantage of this offer. The rooms are held under "MacLean and Millar wedding", or you can quote reservation number #738700.
We'll post details on more accommodation options soon. Let us know if you have questions before then.

The Venue
Since our wedding date is coming up quickly, we thought we should get some more information out to all of you who are interested. First up: the venue.
While some of you (you know who you are, and you're probably on my side of the invite list) will figure out where you’re going and how to get there an hour before it all starts, many of you will want to check it out first. For the responsible ones, here you go:
The ceremony and reception will both take place at Merridale Cidery, in beautiful Cobble Hill, BC. As some of you know, Cobble Hill is relatively close to the house Jen grew up in, which is where her parents still live.
Anyway, the Merridale website is definitely worth a look:
For directions, follow this link:
http://www.merridalecider.com/directions/
Also on the Merridale site, under ‘Transportation, accommodation, and friends’, you’ll find more information about places to stay in the Cowichan Valley, about 30 minutes drive from downtown Victoria. We’ll be posting more information about places to stay right in Victoria soon – in the meantime, if you have questions, email us to ask.
Take care, and keep checking for updates.
